Clear answers about creating an account, verification, listings, reservations, trades, membership and support.
Getting started
What is NairaFX?
NairaFX is a member platform where people can review member-posted foreign-currency exchange opportunities, market information, payment routes and trade conditions. NairaFX is not a bank, wallet provider or escrow service.
How do I create an account?
Select Join NairaFX, enter your correct name, email address and password, accept the applicable terms, then confirm your email address. Use an email address you control because it is used for important trade and security notices.
How does email verification work?
After registration, NairaFX sends an email verification message. You can confirm with the secure link or, where shown, enter the six-digit email OTP on the Verify Email page. Never share an OTP or verification link with anyone.
Why do I need compliance verification?
Verification helps build a safer member community. Complete your profile and provide the requested information or documents through the Verification Centre. Access to some features may remain limited until the Compliance team reviews and approves your submission.
Can I use NairaFX before full verification?
Some basic information may be available after registration, but trading and feature access can depend on your verification level, membership entitlements and applicable review requirements.
Marketplace and listings
What do Buy and Sell listings mean?
A Buy listing is posted by a member seeking to buy the listed foreign currency. A Sell listing is posted by a member offering the listed foreign currency. Always read the currency pair, rate, available amount, limits, delivery estimate and routes before reserving.
What information is shown on a listing?
Each listing can show the member name and verification badge, rating and reviews, available amount, minimum and maximum limits, member status, successful-trade count, delivery estimate, and FX and Naira payment routes.
Are marketplace rates official exchange rates?
No. Marketplace and rate information reflect member-posted activity for reference and trading decisions. They are not official government or central-bank rates, financial advice, or a binding NairaFX quote.
What is a transaction route?
The transaction route identifies the intended FX route, such as Interac or Zelle, and the Naira route, such as bank transfer or cash deposit. Confirm the final instructions inside the trade room before sending funds.
Can I create a listing using a client or third-party account?
Only use a saved account that is permitted for the selected listing and currency. Where a third-party arrangement is available, ensure the account is properly saved, authorised and supported by the required beneficiary information.
Why do I need to add a receiving account?
Receiving accounts tell the platform where you can lawfully receive the relevant currency during a trade. Adding the correct account in your profile helps NairaFX show only accounts that match the listing currency and agreed settlement route, reducing avoidable payment errors.
How do I manage my receiving accounts?
Use Receiving Accounts in your member area to add, review, edit or remove your saved account details. Keep the account name, currency, route and beneficiary details accurate. Do not change or remove an account that is needed for an active reservation or trade; use the trade room and Support if you need help.
When may I use a third-party or client account?
Use a third-party account only when you have the account holder’s clear authority and the account is saved as the correct third-party or client account for the selected currency. You remain responsible for the accuracy of the beneficiary details and for complying with the NairaFX Terms, applicable law and the payment provider’s rules.
Why did my new listing form clear after submission?
NairaFX clears a successfully submitted listing form to help prevent accidental duplicate listings. Review the confirmation notice and open My Listings to confirm the listing details.
Reservations and trades
What happens when I reserve a listing?
A reservation temporarily holds the relevant amount while the participating members review the agreed terms and move into the trade room. A reservation is not a completed payment or completed exchange.
Where do I find agreed trade instructions?
Open My Reservations or My Trades and enter the relevant trade room. Confirm the other member, amount, agreed rate, FX route, Naira route and any stated conditions before you take action.
How do payment and delivery confirmations work?
Use the actions available in the trade room to record required payment or delivery steps, references and evidence. Do not mark a step complete until it is true. Keep your own transaction records as well.
What does delivery time mean?
The displayed delivery estimate is the listing member’s expected timeframe after the relevant conditions are satisfied. It is an estimate, not a guarantee; actual delivery can depend on both parties, bank or payment-provider processing and required checks.
What if there is a problem with a trade?
Use the trade-room options and contact NairaFX Support promptly. Preserve all relevant evidence, references and communication. Do not send additional funds merely because someone pressures you outside the documented trade flow.
Does NairaFX hold my money?
No. NairaFX does not currently provide a customer wallet, hold member funds or act as an escrow provider. Members must use lawful, agreed payment routes and follow the trade-room instructions.
Membership, tokens and Deals
What are membership plans?
Membership plans provide different levels of platform access and trading benefits. Your Plans page shows your current membership, included entitlements and activity-token balances.
What are activity tokens?
Activity tokens are used for selected platform actions, such as creating a listing, editing a price or making a reservation, where applicable. Your available balance and token purchase options appear in Plans and the Token Store.
What is the NairaFX rate-updates subscription?
The public rate-updates subscription lets people opt in to NairaFX market and rate communications. It is separate from a trader membership plan. You can choose the available frequency and confirm your subscription by email.
What are NairaFX Deals?
Deals present designated rate opportunities, including special market categories, that may be available only to eligible membership levels. A deal is managed by an assigned NairaFX member; review eligibility and deal conditions before expressing interest.
Security, privacy and support
How does NairaFX protect my account?
Use a unique password, verify your email, keep your contact details current and never share passwords, OTPs or payment credentials. NairaFX may send security and transaction alerts to the email address on your account.
Why am I receiving email notifications?
NairaFX sends important notices for account verification, listings, reservations, trades, subscriptions and security-related actions. Notification Preferences lets you manage eligible non-essential preferences.
How is my information used?
NairaFX uses account, verification and transaction-related information to operate the platform, support compliance and security, communicate with members and meet applicable legal obligations. Read the Privacy Policy for the full explanation.
What do the NairaFX Terms require of me?
You must provide accurate information, use only accounts you own or are properly authorised to use, follow lawful payment-provider and local requirements, and keep trade communications and evidence truthful. Do not misrepresent a rate, route, available balance, identity or beneficiary. Read and accept the Terms and Conditions before using member features.
How do I get support?
Use the support option in NairaFX or contact [email protected]. Include the relevant listing, reservation or trade reference where available, but never send passwords, OTPs or full payment credentials by email.
